Alright ladies, we are over half way through January and I wanted to check in with everyone.
How are you doing?
Every year January brings about a lot of new feelings... weather its the desire to accomplish a new goal or taking on a few new hobbies, for a lot of people January means a reset of healthy living. I think this year more than ever people are feeling the need to kick start the year in a healthy way as we've all spent nearly the last year in quarantine.
I know personally, i've eaten nearly 10 pounds in gummy's and no less than 13 extra cheese & mushroom stromboli with french fries on the side from a local pizza restaurant. I know this because i purchased both weekly as my reward for getting through another week without losing my shit. :)
But here we are in 2021 and now we're feeling the aftermath that is quarantine in our bodies.
I've spent the last 2 weeks doing the whole 30 diet (and attempting intermittent fasting here and there when i remember) and i have to say- this is hard! I've never had much self control when it comes to limiting myself something i want... like sugar...and cheese. oh how i love cheese.
2 weeks in and i haven't cheated on my new whole 30 diet and at this point its not terrible. I haven't seen a ton of the results its famous for just yet...but at least i'm not eating bowls of gummy bears anymore.
How are you doing? What's on your mind?
I hope if you're trying something new this January that its going great and if you stumble- give yourself grace because at least you're trying- and that is something to be proud of!
....update since I wrote this... I've caved. I made it 19 days- I really needed a drink however I did make sure it was a gluten free beer, does that make it any better?
